Who is responsible for your information?
Wellstead Mobility is the brand responsible for this website. The operating company's full legal name, registered address and dedicated privacy contact must be confirmed before live enquiries are enabled. These details will be added here so you can contact the data controller directly.
The current website and enquiry forms
Our brochure and home-visit journeys are currently previews. Information you type into these forms is held temporarily in the page while you complete the journey. Submitting a preview does not send a brochure request, book a visit or send a text or email. We do not save the form details in browser storage or an enquiry database through these forms.
Website hosting and content providers still receive technical information needed to serve the website, such as your IP address, requested pages and browser information. Preview error reporting may also send technical error details to the hosting provider; please do not include sensitive information in error reports.
Information used by the website
- Brochure preview: your name, phone number, postal address and postcode.
- Product and visit previews: your answers about the product, fit and comfort you are looking for, plus the contact information requested by the form. Some answers may reveal health or mobility information.
- Cookie choices: whether you allow optional categories, the date of your choice and the version of the notice.
- Technical information: information used to deliver pages, images and fonts and diagnose website errors.
Why information is used and the lawful basis
Technical processing needed to operate and secure the website relies on legitimate interests, balanced against your rights. Saving your cookie choice is necessary to respect that choice. Optional tracking, if introduced, requires consent before it starts.
Before live enquiries are connected, this policy will be updated with the actual providers, retention periods and lawful bases. Responding to a requested quotation or purchase enquiry may involve steps before entering a contract; service administration may rely on legitimate interests or contractual necessity. Legal obligations may require transaction records to be retained.
Health information needs additional protection under UK data protection law. A valid special-category condition, such as separate explicit consent where appropriate, must be in place before live health-related answers are collected. The current enquiry-contact checkbox is not consent to unrelated marketing or to processing health information.
Marketing and your choices
The current preview forms do not enrol you in a marketing list. Permission to respond to an enquiry is not permission to send unrelated promotions. Any future optional marketing permission will be separate, and you will be able to withdraw it without affecting an enquiry or purchase.
Providers and international transfers
The site uses Lovable hosting, remotely hosted images and Google Fonts. Your browser connects to these providers to display the website. We do not sell personal information. Some providers may process technical information outside the UK; the actual locations and relevant safeguards, such as adequacy arrangements or approved contractual protections, must be confirmed before this policy is used for live services.
How long information is kept
Form answers are temporary page state and are cleared when the page session is discarded or reloaded. Your cookie choice is saved on this browser for up to six months, unless you change it or clear browser storage. The once-per-session brochure-offer flag lasts for the browser session. Hosting-provider log retention is not yet confirmed; it must be documented alongside retention periods for live enquiries and purchases before those services are enabled.
Your rights
Rights depend on the circumstances and are not all absolute. A valid rights request normally receives a response within one month; an extension may be allowed for complex or multiple requests. We may need proportionate information to verify identity.
- Ask for access to your personal information and correction of inaccurate information.
- Ask for deletion or restriction of processing in circumstances provided by law.
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests, and object to direct marketing at any time.
- Request portability where processing is automated and based on consent or a contract.
- Withdraw consent at any time where processing relies on consent. This does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
- Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113. You do not have to complain to us first.
Children and changes to this policy
This site is intended for adults and families researching mobility products, not for collecting information from children. We will update this policy when services or data-handling practices change. The latest revision date appears at the top of the page.
