If you have a long-term illness or disability, you may be able to buy eligible products without VAT. This could save you a fifth of the price.
Who can claim
You may be eligible if you have a condition that a doctor treats as a chronic or long-term illness, or a physical or mental impairment that affects your ability to carry out everyday activities. You don't need a doctor's letter.
How it works
Your consultant gives you a short form to sign confirming your eligibility. We then remove the VAT from your price. If you buy for someone else, they need to be the eligible person.
